About:

The Bujinkan is a worldwide organisation based around the teachings of Soke Hatsumi Masaaki. It comprises of 9 different schools, 3 of which are recognised as Ninjutsu. The other six schools involve techniques used by samurai during feudal Japan’s Warring States period.

Adelaide Bujinkan Ninjutsu teaches these techniques using a combination of set kata (patterns) as well as dynamic interaction with a training partner. Given the potentially injurious nature of the techniques, particular focus is given to safety through slow, flowing motion and a high focus on ukemi (personal safety techniques and awareness).

Bujinkan Ninjutsu is a combat-oriented martial art, as opposed to other sport-focused arts. We welcome any skill level, including practitioners from other martial arts backgrounds to complete beginners.

…Besides, who didn’t want to be a ninja growing up?
