Parkour and Freerunning

Run at Point A by the South Australian Parkour Association (SAPA).

Open Training:

If you already know what you are doing and know what you want to train, Point A is several times a week for casual training and hanging out. We call this Open Warehouse and you can find the times on the Timetable. These are currently based on donations covering the rent and equipment, so we ask for $5-$10 but you can volunteer your time/skills instead. For inquiries please contact TJ.

Monthly Jam:

On the first Saturday of every month, SAPA hosts their Monthly Jam, usually at Point A. This is a social training day where you can come in and meet the community. Details are announced via the South Australian Parkour Association on Facebook.

Parkour Classes:

There are multiple Parkour classes run at Point A by SAPA. The main public classes run on Thursday evenings, though throughout the week we host specific groups and book workshops, birthday parties, private training, etc.

The Thursday class block is –

  • 4:15pm – 5:30pm Teens class – $20.00
  • 5:45pm – 7:45pm Adults class – Come and try $5.00 for first time, $15.00 thereafter
  • 8:00pm – 9:00pm Hour of power – Higher intensity $20.00 or $10.00 if attending Adults class a well

There is also a Kids Parkour Class on Monday afternoons.

For the full details please see the listings on the SAPA website.

Freerunning:

Mostly done in the ‘open warehouse’ sessions, Freerunning is a blend of Parkour movements and other acrobatic or creative expressions.  We also have crash mats and other padding to make use of for safe progression. Point A hosts acrobatics and tumbling courses which are a great way to begin acrobatic training to blend with SAPA’s Parkour training. For tumbling details see Tumbling classes at Point A.
